You can’t run away from your calling.
There are things you can’t run away from.
They will chase you to the grave.
However you choose to live your life, whether as a banker in a prestigious bank, a waitress in a local bar, a content creator in the 21st century, a prostitute in the streets, or an elite in a top company, what you were wired to do will never depart from you.
It will haunt you, and resurface as a consistent persistent idea in your mind, Every. Single. Day.
Your heart will never stop crying for this one thing — Purpose.
You will try to fill it up with all the goodies of life, but the excitement will just be for a moment.
You will try to ignore it, and as you do, you’ll be moving further from true satisfaction and fulfillment.
I find that the calling that God has placed in your life must be answered if you are ever to live a life of true purpose.
You can’t run away from it.
I have tried.
And I still am. But somehow it seems, the harder I try the harder it gets, and the harder it gets the more I realize that Surrender is the only way out.
Maybe you might not be a believer in God. But we both know that your soul has forever been longing for an answer to life, for a truth, a certain peace, satisfaction, and fulfillment.
However you’ve chosen to seek it, that hunger will never be satisfied in the absence of your true origin — God.
Who is God calling you to be? What is He calling you to do?
Are you running away? Are you scared? Or are you just plain confused?
Again, I have been. And for some of the questions I’ve just asked, I still am.
But I see that my fight is coming to an end.
I see it’s time to put down my rebellious sword and throw away my denial armor.
I see myself answering the call — not partially, but wholly. A complete dive into that which He is calling me to be.
Do you hear purpose calling deep within?
Will you answer? That’s a question that only you can answer.
